Thieves decamp with gold ornaments and cash money

Unidentified persons robbed a shopkeeper's house of 10 tola gold ornaments and cash worth Rs. 5 lakh on Sunday.


Kulwinder Singh's house in Punjab Avenue near Partap palace on Ladhewali Road was looted when members of the family were asleep in another room.

The family members alleged that the thieves had entered the house by jumping over the wall of the adjacent house. They entered the room, picked the locks on the cupboards and decamped with the loot.

A case has been registered against the unidentified persons. Investigations are on in the case.
