Three women killed as vehicle overturns

Three women were killed and three others injured when a Tata Safari they were travelling in overturned near Wara Jagir village on the Kakar Kalan-Lohian Khas link road on Monday.



Investigating officer assistant sub-inspector Balwinder Singh said that the deceased had been identified as Lovpreet Kaur (18), daughter of Bhupinder Singh of Kakar Kalan village, Kanwaljit Kaur wife of Amarjit Singh of Ganganagar in Rajasthan and Balbir Kaur, a resident of Barapind village under Goraya police station.

Amarjit Singh, Surjit Kaur, Makhan Singh were injured, who have been admitted to a private clinic at Nakodar. The investigating officer said that the victims were going from Kakar Kalan village towards Ganga Nagar. All the three deaths took place on the mishap site.

Jasnoor kidnapping case : Kidnappers in two day police remand

A local court has sent Soni Kumar and Vishal Kumar, both kidnappers of nine-year-old Jasnoor, to two day police remand on Monday.
Both the accused lived in Jasnoor's neighbourhood and were residents of local Sant Nagar. The Navi Baradari police have been investigating three mobile phone sims recovered from the kidnappers to find out whether they were procured through fake documents or not. Both the kidnappers are allegedly drug addicts and hatched a plan to kidnap the boy when he was playing cricket on August 29.
