Youth flaunt inked fingers on social networking sites

Young voters in the city, particularly those who voted for the first time, were seen flaunting their inked fingers on social networking sites after casting their franchise on Wednesday.

From posting pictures and selfies to urging others at Facebook, Twitter and WhatsApp — a sense of excitement among youngsters was quite palpable. Even many middle-aged people joined the bandwagon sharing their photos with indelible ink mark on their left hand.

Many youngsters started requesting others at 7am. Posts such as “Don’t sit idle. Go and vote”, “If you don’t like any NETA, choose NOTA,” “Get inked”, “Ungli pe dot hai to hot hai” kept doing rounds.

Facebook was flooded with update “I am voting” while in WhatsApp people showed pictures of their index finger.

Also the people were seen flaunting their favourite parties and proudly confessing to whom they voted.

Online statuses like “Na dode nu na daru nu, sadi vote jhadu nu”, “voted for change this time", “go out for Modi, rest stay at home as temperature is 43 degree”, ‘apne AAP ko vote” etc were also making buzz.
