Amarnath Yatra: 3.62 lakh pilgrims pay obeisance

As many as 3.62 lakh pilgrims have paid obeisance at holy ice lingum of Lord Shiva in cave shrine of Amarnath in Jammu and Kashmir till on Sunday.

As many 3,62,632 pilgrims paid obeisance at holy ice lingum of Lord Shiva at Amarnath cave shrine in South Kashmir Himalayas till on Sunday, an official spokesman said here today.

As many as 2,129 pilgrims performed the darshan of ice lingam at the holy cave today, the spokesman said.

With sufficient improvement in weather condition in the yatra area, the yatris who travelled towards the holy cave today from Baltal and Chandanwari as well as the yatris who had to stay at intermediate camps yesterday, paid darshan at holy cave today, he said.

The pilgrimage was started on June 28 and will culminate on Raksha Bandhan day August 10.
