With Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections slated for later this year, a new political party aiming to eradicate corruption from the state, is set to be launched here.

"People's Republican Party will be launched at a simple function tomorrow," general secretary of the party Mohammad Amin Andrabi told PTI.

"Our main focus will be to make Jammu and Kashmir a corruption free state as we are ranking at the top of the list of corrupt states in the country," he said.

The party set to contest the forthcoming state Assembly elections will also work towards formation of a Rehabilitation Board for the victims of conflict over the past 24 years.

"There is a trust deficit between various regions of the state and between the Kashmir Valley and rest of the country as well. We will work for constitution of a Reconciliation commission for addressing these issues," he added.
