Protest in Kashmir over teenager's killing

Clashes erupted between protesters and armed forces as large numbers of Kashmiri youths took to street against the alleged killing of a teenager by security forces during anti Israel protest.


Kashmiris had assembled in large numbers to protest the killing of 15-year-old Suhail Ahmad Mir.

Youths pelted stones on forces deployed in strength in the area. Forces responded with baton charge and tear gas shells in which three youths were wounded.

Mir was killed when forces opened fire on a group of anti-Israel protesters in Qaimoh area of Kulgam district on Saturday.

Though Mir was rushed to a nearby hospital, doctors declared him brought dead as he succumbed to serious bullet injuries.
