A key talk on 'Attitude determines your altitude' was organised by the Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) Science Club here on Thursday, wherein the students and faculty members of the university participated.
CL Acharya, former director, Indian Institute of Soil Science (ICAR), Bhopal and director of extension education, Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar, Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Palampur delivered an enlightening talk on this occasion. Baldev Singh Dhillon, PAU vice-chancellor, presided over the function.
Highlighting the principle of humility, Acharya called upon the participants to be humble while performing their duties. He emphasised to cultivate out of the box thinking in professional life.
Stating that struggles are part of life, he said, "If dissatisfied with life, the need is to change your thoughts which govern your attitude." He urged the participants to stop worrying, avoid disliking people, always count your blessings and acknowledge other's act. Acharya described a story of a man who worked with integrity, served with love and achieved success in life.
Appreciating the though-provoking lecture of the speaker, Dhillon said progress could be made in life with positive attitude and out of the box thinking.
Dhillon, PAU V-C; Gusharan Singh, dean, postgraduate studies and chairman of the club; and BS Sohal, controller of examinations and secretary of the club, honoured the speaker with a memento.
