It was an emotional home-coming for more than 450 ex-students of the historic Khalsa College, Amritsar (KCA) as they assembled at their alma mater to attend the 'Alumni Meet-2014' on Monday.

The KCA alumni, who are settled in various parts of the country and the world, met at the campus and shared old memories after they together cut a cake to celebrate their togetherness.

Over 450 ex-students, including 45 senior most alumni like Dr Khem Singh Gill, former vice-chancellor of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana, incumbent PAU VC BS Dhillon, IPS officer Harjit Singh Sandhu and peanut king of Argentina Simarpal Singh, were present at the event.

The alumni meet also witnessed a cultural programme and a show match of Kabaddi by the students of the college.

Khalsa College governing council (KCGC) chancellor Rajmohinder Singh Majitha, who was the chief guest at the welcome ceremony, along with vice-president Charanjit Singh Cahdha and honorary secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina, gave away the honours to the college's old students.

They appreciated the efforts of principal Mehal Singh for organising the function meticulously. A power-point presentation depicting the history of the college and its sister organisations was appreciated well.
