Haryana CM Manohar Lal khattar’s meeting with agitating Jat leaders over the issue of reservation concluded without any consensus on withdrawal of their agitation across state on Wednesday.

The meeting was attended by agriculture minister OP Dhankar, finance minister Capt Abhimayu along with over 100 Jat leaders and Khap heads, which lasted for over four hours.

Finance minister Capt abhimanyu told media persons that it was decided to increase state economically weaker section reservations from 10 % to 20 % and the financial limit from 2.50 lakh to 6 lakh . This would result in inclusion of Jats and four other castes into the reserved category in govt jobs and educational institutes.

However, some Jat leaders were not happy with the announcement and said they would continue with their agitation.

Khattar had invited the agitating Jat leaders for talks at his residence . He had also urged them to call off their stir.
