Victim Swaraj was missing for the past one week, and a missing complaint was lodged at Dugri police station in this context.
On Tuesday, the Patiala police had informed Ludhiana police that they had found dead body of Swaraj from the river.
Gurmukh said, “The police have registered a case, but have not arrested the accused. The political leaders of ruling party who are close to the accused are deterring the police to arrest him, and also hampering the investigation.”
Heavy police force was deployed to control the protesters on the spot, and the senior officials assured arrest of the accused.
