Former Faridkot MLA Kushaldeep Singh Dhillon on Saturday alleged that Kotkapura MLA and chief parliamentary secretary Mantar Singh Brar had got the vote of his younger brother made in Kotkapura (rural) by getting it removed from his native village Sandhwan with a view to enabling him to contest the zila parishad elections from Wara Daraka zone.

In a press statement on Saturday, Dhillon alleged, "The Kotkapura MLA, who is also the chief parliamentary secretary, panchayat department, has used his influence to get the vote of his brother made based on his rice mill whereas he actually lives at Sandhwan village. His sister is the Kotkapura MC president and now he wants his brother to contest the zila parishad poll."

When contacted, Brar said there was nothing wrong with this as his brother had a residence at Lalleana village where the mill was located.
