KU to hold international conference from March 13

The History department of the Kurukshetra University is organising a two-day international conference on events relating to the Partition. Historians and scholars from the United States of America, England, India, Pakistan and Bangladesh will participate in the Conference titled '1947: Rethinking', which will be held from March 13 to 14.

The History department of the Kurukshetra University is organising a two-day international conference on events relating to the Partition.

Historians and scholars from the United States of America, England, India, Pakistan and Bangladesh will participate in the Conference titled '1947: Rethinking', which will be held from March 13 to 14.

Prof. Indu Banga, the former general president of Indian History Congress will deliver the inaugural address, while Prof. David Gilmartin, campus director of the centre for South Asian Studies, North Carolina State University, USA, will deliver the keynote address.

KU vice-chancellor, Lt Gen Dr DDS Sandhu will preside over the session and Prof Suranjan Dass, vice-chancellor, University of Calcutta, will be the guest of honour.
