Kulwant Singh assumes charge as vice-chairman of PEDA

Kulwant Singh on Tuesday assumed the charge as vice-chairman of Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA) in the presence of new and renewable energy minister Bikram Singh Majithia and member of parliament Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa. Kulwant, who is son of deceased MLA Malkiat Singh Keetu, took the charge at the PEDA Bhawan at Sector 33, Chandigarh.

Kulwant Singh on Tuesday assumed the charge as vice-chairman of Punjab Energy Development Agency (PEDA) in the presence of new and renewable energy minister Bikram Singh Majithia and member of parliament Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa. Kulwant, who is son of deceased MLA Malkiat Singh Keetu, took the charge at the PEDA Bhawan at Sector 33, Chandigarh.

While congratulating him for his new assignment, Majitha said the state of Punjab, in a short span of time, has emerged as a leading state in the renewable energy sector. He said the work done by Punjab in the renewable energy sector has earned national and international accolades. He said Prime Minister has given special award to Punjab for the commendable work done by the Punjab State for producing energy through renewable energy sources besides power generation through traditional means. He also praised the family of Kulwant for being committed workers of the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD).

Dhindsa also showered high words of praise upon Kulwant and expressed hope that he would work with full sincerity and take the PEDA towards newer heights.

Kulwant thanked chief minister Parkash Singh Badal and deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal for this new assignment.

Agriculture minister Jathedar Tota Singh, Lok Sabha member Prem Singh Chandumajra, chief parliamentary secretary Sant Balvir Singh Ghunas and senior Akali leader Darbara Singh Guru were also present on the occasion.
