Notorious terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba has threatened to blow up railways stations at Nakodar, Ludhiana, Phagwara, Hoshiarpur, Khanna and other places on the festival of Dussehra.

In a letter posted to Nakodar railway station superintendent Anmol Kumar, it said the Suchi Pind oil depot would also be destroyed on November 13.

The letter also says that chief minister Parkash Singh Badal, deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, anti-corruption activist Arvind Kejriwal, Dera Sacha Sauda chief Ram Rahim Singh and Baba Ramdev are also on its hit list.

The station superintendent said he had received the letter on Thursday and informed the government railway police and the railway protection force (RPF) about it.

Police officials have taken the letter into their possession and are verifying its contents. The
letter is written in Hindi.

Jalandhar government railway police SHO Baldev Singh Randhawa said, "We have tightened the security at all railway stations. We are also coordinating with the district police."

He appealed to the people, especially railway passengers, to inform the police about any suspicious person or objects at railway stations. He said railway officials had received such letters earlier too.

Nakodar DSP HS Hundal said, "We have increased vigilance and are coordinating with the railway police regarding the threatening letter."
