Ashok Mittal, chancellor, informed that a large number of applications have been received for admissions this year. The scheme has already benefitted more than 20,000 meritorious students over last years. Under this scheme, scholarships amounting more than Rs 150 crores have been provided to the students.”
Elaborating about availability of scholarships, he said: “To be eligible for this scholarship, students have to be academically strong and on the basis of performance in the board examination, graduation or the national, state level tests, scholarship amount is decided”.
He added that they are also recognizing candidates who have performed at well state, national or international sports activities. He said that the scholarship is also available as per rank in JEE (main), XAT, NATA, CAT, GATE NEET, MAT and GPAT.
“In addition, State Level Entrance Tests for various programs of diploma, engineering and MBA programs are also considered for scholarship. The students who have achieved something in national and international level best performances in sports, cultural activities, research and development, social services and bravery acts also enable a student to avail scholarship”, Mittal said.
