A leopard is once again giving sleepless nights to the capital’s residents. Reports of a wild cat prowling around have come from various areas of the city during the last couple of days.
On Wednesday about a dozen goats were attacked near a slaughter house in Krishna Nagar by the feline.
“We have also received reports of a leopard roaming around near the Mall Road”, a forest official said.
Divisional forest ranger Satish Gupta said the forest department had put up two cages in Krishna Nagar, besides the four in other localities of the city. “However, no loss of human life has been reported so far and we hope the animal will soon be caught”, he added.
