Lightening claims life of seven year old boy

A seven year old died on the spot at village Pakhoke Tahli Sahib under Dera Baba Nanak police station while a seventeen year old girl was seriously injured at Gandhi Camp, when lightening struck them, this morning.

In this regard, Jagir Masih resident of Pakhoke Tahli Sahib told that his son, Vijay maish was studying in 2nd standard at local government primary school. Today morning, he asked him to collect the branches of the trees, which were fallen on the road side and when he reached outside his school after collecting branches on his cycle, lightening struck him and brunt him to death.

Listening to his cries, some of the nearby shopkeepers rushed the boy to hospital, where he was declared brought dead.

Meanwhile, lightening also struck a fourteen year old girl, Sumeeta and burnt her seriously while she was playing on the roof of her house at Gandhi camp this morning.

She was admitted to civil hospital, where her condition was stated to be out of danger.
