People's Forum, Bargari, a non-government organisation, has honoured five distinguished personalities of Punjab, inlcuding Nek Chand, the world famous creator of Rock Garden in Chandigarh who was given the 'Living Legend of Punjab' award.

Mountaineer and novelist Manmohan Bawa, singer Manak Ali, TV personality Rana Ranbir and agriculture development officer Surjeet Singh Sandhu were the others honoured on the 10th annual function of the Forum on Friday night.

GS Chauhan, senior superintendent of police, Faridkot, was chief guest. A documentary on folk dances bhangra and jhumar, was also screened. It was a Punjabi University, Patiala, production.
