Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) registrar Asha Dhawan, in a release issued on Friday, said that the process for admissions to different undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in veterinary, fisheries and dairy technology has been initiated and the prospectus for the academic session 2015-16 have been put on sale.
The admissions to undergraduate programmes are conducted on the basis of common entrance test (CET), which will be held on June 18 this year. The prospectus have been made available from April 9 at the registrar's office, room number 16, ground floor, administrative block on Ferozpur Road.
Sushil Prabhakar, controller of examinations, said that the last date to apply for admission to undergraduate course is May 4, however, with late fee the application forms can be submitted till May 11. For postgraduate programmes, the forms can be submitted till June 15, and with late fee till June 22.
The eligibility for admission to undergraduate programmes in the college of veterinary science and fisheries is 10+2 with medical stream (biology, physics, chemistry and English) from a recognised board or university, while for college of dairy science and technology, the eligibility is 10+2 with non-medical stream (mathematics, physics, chemistry and English).
The admission to master's programme in veterinary science, fisheries, dairy technology and animal biotechnology is based on cumulative score of marks of the qualifying examination and an interview.
