Nine months after a woman resident of Aggar Nagar complained that land records had been forged to sell a plot she owned, the local police booked five people for forgery.

However, it has turned out that two of the accused had died years ago. Local Congress leader, Tarlochan Singh Safri, met the police commissioner on Friday claiming that his long dead father, Arud Singh, is among the accused.

The other accused who is dead is Pritam Singh. Commissioner Kunwar Vijay Partap Singh has assured Safri of an investigation.
