Around 12 robbers struck at a factory at Focal Point Phase 8 and took away 250 kg copper worth Rs 25 lakh and one LCD TV after assaulting a security guard and two labourers in the wee hours of Saturday.

The accused held captive the factory workers and locked them in a room. The whole incident has been captured in CCTVs installed in the factory. The police have been trying to identify the accused through CCTV footage. The miscreants loaded the articles in a pick up van and fled.

The factory workers, however, succeeded to open the door of the room and informed the factory owner. On being informed, the Focal Point police reached the spot for investigation.

Jartinder, who works as a security guard at Pahwa Engineering Works, said the robbers entered the factory in the wee hours of Saturday after scaling the compound wall. After entering, they opened the main gate to let their accomplices in.

The miscreants assaulted him and two labourers with sharp-edged weapons and held them captive. Sahil, the nephew of factory owner Prem Kumar, said they incurred a loss of Rs 25 lakh in the incident.
