2 bags containing laptops, mobile stolen from car

Two bags containing two laptops, a mobile phone, passport and some other documents, were stolen from a car at Sherpur Chowk on Friday evening.

In his complaint, Kailash, an employee at Vardhman Steels company, stated he was returning back after meeting his company's client when his car's tyre got punctured.

He said he parked the car and took the tyre for repair in a nearby area. However, when he returned, his two bags were missing from the car.

Kailash told the police that the stolen bags contained one laptop each, a mobile phone, passport and some other documents.

A case under Section 380 (theft) was registered at Focal Point police station. The police have initiated investigation and are trying to trace the accused.

Two more dengue cases spring up

Two more dengue cases were confirmed in the city on Thursday. One 25-year-old woman from Bhora village, Jalandhar Bypass, and a 30-year-old man from BRS Nagar were tested positive for dengue. Both patients are undergoing treatment at the Dayanand Medical College and Hospital.
