25 units of blood collected at camp in GADVASU

National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers at Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) organised a blood donation camp to commemorate World Population Day and Himalyan Disaster in Uttarakhand on Monday.


Senior cardiologist of Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), Hero Heart Centre, Dr Naved Aslam, Ludhiana, inaugurated the camp, which was organised in association with blood bank, DMCH, Ludhiana. Total 25 units of blood were collected.

NSS coordinator, Dr Syed Shabih Hassan, motivated volunteers to donate blood. Blood donation was held under the guidance by a team of DMCH doctors led by Dr Aikaj Jindal, a resident doctor at DMCH.

More than 160 GADVASU students, NSS volunteers, employees and staff, students of college of fisheries, college of dairy science and technology, college of veterinary science and affiliated colleges, Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Amritsar (KCVAS) attended the event.
