A 25-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his house in Maya Nagar on Monday afternoon.

The deceased, Arshdeep Singh, was living in a rented house, and worked in a private security agency.

His wife Manpreet Haur told the police that she was away to her relatives' house. When she returned on Monday afternoon, she was shocked to find her husband hanging from the ceiling fan in a room.

She raised an alarm and informed her relatives, who sounded the police. The Ghumar Mandi police took the body and initiated investigation.
