Chief minister Parkash Singh Badal on Saturday urged Muslims to vote for NDA's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.

Badal was addressing a rally on Tajpur Road after laying the foundation stone of Islamia Public School here.

He said there was nothing to fear as Modi was their well-wisher unlike Congressmen who thrived on false propaganda and allegations, adding, "Their accusations against Modi of being communal and anti-Muslim are baseless and politically motivated."

Badal said the Congress was creating a fear factor in the minds of Muslims against Modi, anticipating their defeat in the coming Lok Sabha elections.

Badal urged the Muslim audience in the rally to raise their hands in support of Modi by asking, "Who will you vote as the next PM?" to which the people replied, "Modi".

He also held the Congress responsible for the plight of Muslims in various parts of India, adding that the UPA government had done nothing to uplift the illiterate, poor and unemployed Muslims.
