Burglars strike at govt school, decamp with 2 LPG cylinders

 Burglars struck at Government Primary School, Rania, on the night of Thursday and decamped with two LPG gas cylinders and a stove.


They broke open almirahs and ransacked it. They also burnt some important school documents for making a fire to keep themselves warm.

Narinder Jit Singh, sarpanch of the village, was the first to witness the incident. On seeing broken locks of the schools, he telephoned the school Principal Manpreet Kaur, who later sounded to the Dehlon Police.

The police initiated investigation after reaching the spot and initiated process to lodge an FIR.

The principal said the documents that the burglars burnt included some bills.

The police suspect that some drug addicts are behind the burglary. Inspector Inderjit Singh, SHO at Dehlon police station, said the police had launched a manhunt to identify the accused.
