CBSE postpones dates for proficiency test again

With the general elections round the corner, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has postponed the dates for Class 10 optional proficiency test.

This is the second time the board has changed the dates for the test. Earlier, the board changed test dates so from April 14 to April 21 as the dates were coincideing with some national holidays.

The Science exam, scheduled for 23, would now take place on April 26. While the Social Science exam would be conducted on  April 28 instead of April 24.

However, the examination for remaining subjects would be conducted s per the earlier schedule and other parameters for the test remain the same.

63-year-old man murdered in Sahnewal

A 63-year-old man was found murdered on a vacant plot in Fauji Colony of Sahnewal on Tuesday evening. The victim has been identified as Surinder Nath of Bhogpur Colony. His son, Barkeshwar Nath, told the police that his father had gone to the market to get his spectacles repaired.
