Talking to Hindustan Times, Harmeet Kaur Waraich, principal of Nankana Sahib Public School, Gill road, said, “Every year we observe Vigilance Awareness Week and if we sensitise the students it brings changes among them. We are creating awareness among the students by conducting talks, taking the students for Sutlej cleaning.”

Pradeep Singh, principal of Shamrock Christian Senior Secondary school, said, “It is a good initiative by the board. When students participate in competitions like essay writing, slogan writing they are made to think and write. It puts an impact on the students and they become more aware.”
