A 13-year-old girl student was allegedly raped by her teacher, who was dismissed from the job recently following a complaint of molestation made by the victim.

On Thursday morning, the accused, Sandeep Kumar, allegedly abducted the student from outside the school and took her to a room in the Sunil Park area. After allegedly raping the girl, Sandeep dropped her near railway tracks in the Salem Tabri area and fled the spot.

The girl told her parents about the incident after reaching home. The parents then filed a complaint against the accused with the Salem Tabri police. A case of abduction and rape was registered against Sandeep.

According to the girl's statement, Sandeep used to molest her in the school, following which she had filed a complaint to the school principal, following which Sandeep was dismissed from the job for his misdemeanour. To take revenge, the accused abducted her from in front of the school on a motorcycle and raped her, she alleged.

Salem Tabri police station station house officer (SHO) Dharampal said a manhunt had been launched to nab the accused.

Teachers need to shape students as nation builders, says Kalam

Creativity is the key to success in the future, and primary education is where teachers can bring creativity in children at that level. A great teacher is one who will improve the level of students who are poor in studies.
