Dy CM didn’t assure govt jobs, say fisheries dept students

The students of College of Fisheries at Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), met deputy chief minister (CM) Sukhbir Singh Badal here on Saturday.


The students have been protesting over a month now to get reassurance for government jobs.

The students also wanted to meet union minister for food processing industry Harsimrat Kaur Badal, who visited the university, but could not meet them.

One of the protesting students, Khushwinder Singh, said, “De puty CM said that we should start our own businesses as the gover nment is providing subsidies.”

The students said they would stop their protest only after the state governement assures them of jobs.
