The staff at Guru Teg Bahadur Sahib (Charitable) Hospital accused a patient of misbehaving with them.

Senior ortho surgeon at the hospital Dr Jagdip Madaan while addressing a press conference on Saturday alleged that the patient was under treatment at the hospital and he misbehaved with the hospital staff and used abusive language.

The doctors had informed the patient and his family that his leg may have to be amputated otherwise the poison could spread in his body but the patient was not ready for surgery and was also refusing to take discharge from the hospital from past three days.

He said that the patient was admitted at the hospital on April 2 as he had fractured his leg and there was no blood supply to the foot. He said that the patient, who was suffering from anaemia, was not ready for the surgery as his leg could have been removed and neither was ready to take discharge.

He told that without any further treatment, the life of the patient could be in danger.
Later Dr Madaan informed that the patient discharged from hospital and was referred to PGIMER in Chandigarh. The hospital had also submitted a complaint to the police. The patient could not be contacted for comment.
