Indo-Pak trade expo begins today

Over 50 businessmen from Pakistan will be seen taking part in the four-day trade expo starting here on February 15.

The PHD chamber of commerce is organising the expo said regional director Dalip Sharma informing that over 50 businessmen from Pakistan will participate in the expo, which will see participation of around 125 traders from India and Pakistan.

Pakistani traders will be showcasing Pakistani Onyx marble, textiles, dry fruits from Kabul, Kashmiri carpets, home appliances among several other things.

The event is being considered another step forward in boosting bilateral trade between India and Pakistan, especially when tension increased between the two nations after beheading of two Indian soldiers by Pakistani soldiers.

Few women entrepreneurs from Pakistan had paid a visit last month as well.
