A three-wheeler driver, who was severely beaten up in a scuffle, succumbed to his injuries on Saturday.

The deceased, Kuldeep Singh, 22, was a resident of Sarpanch Colony.

In his complaint, Kuldeep's father Jai Singh submitted that they had a pet dog, that their neighbours - Harpinder Kaur, her son Bachittar Singh, daughter Mandeep Kaur and son-in-law Manjit Singh - claimed used to urinate on their door. Therefore, they assured them that they would take care of it in future.

However, on February 15, his neighbours intercepted his son in the street and opened attack on him with sharp-edged weapons and sticks, leaving Kuldeep severely injured, following which he was admitted to a private hospital.

The Jamalpur police have arrested all accused and booked them for murder.
