Man booked for posting derogatory comments on Facebook

The division number 1 police on Friday registered a case against a man for posting derogatory comments on a social networking site here.


The case was registered on the complaint of Vijay Danav, chief organiser of Bharti Valmiki Dharam Samaj. Danav alleged that the accused, Suresh Kumar, who is a Hindi tutor, posted objectionable comments over religion on facebook, a social networking site.

Inspector, Surinder Mohan, SHO at the division number 1 police station said that a case in this context has been registered, for which help from the information technology wing of the police is also being taken to trace the whereabouts of the accused.
