The Marxist Communist Party of India (United) will hold its central committee meeting at KK Kaushal Memorial Bhawan at Doraha from September 26 to 28.
In a released issued on Thursday, Pawan Kumar Kaushal, secretary, MCPI (U), Punjab, and Lakhwinder Singh Bowani secretary, Kirti Kisan Sabha, Punjab, said the meeting would take stock of the situation at the international and national level. The role of imperialist powers in middle-east countries, especially Syria, Turkey, Egypt and other developing countries of the world, will also be discussed in detail.
On September 29, the coordination committee of the All-India Kisan Federation (AIKF) will discuss the issues concerning the peasantry, such as cut in subsidies, numerative price of crops and the implication of the present Land Acquisition Act.
The draft programme for the all-India conference of the All-India Kisan Federation to be held at Chandigarh from March 28 to 29, 2014, will also be finalised by the All India Coordination Committee of the AIKF.
