NRI accuses four persons of land

A non-resident Indian (NRI) living in Canada has accused four persons of grabbing his land and selling it further by forging the documents of the property, at Daad village in Ludhiana.


Complainant Labh Singh, who is a resident of Selon Khurd, Dahlon, resident, has accused four persons Saudagar Singh and Manjinder Singh, both residents of Shaheed Karnail Singh Nagar, and Sandeep Kumar, a Daad village resident, Kashmira Singh, of Sunet village, of grabbing and selling his land to someone else in 2010.

A case under 419 (punishment for cheating by personation), 420 (fraud), 465 (forgery), 467 (forgery of valuable security), 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating) and 471 (using as genuine a forged document) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered against the accused.

Khanna hospital refuses to deliver HIV woman’s baby

A pregnant woman who had gone to the Civil Hospital, Khanna, for delivery had to face a tough time after the hospital refused to admit her because she was HIV infected. The senior medical officer present there instead referred her to the Civil Hospital in Ludhiana where she delivered her baby on Monday evening.
