PAU scientist awarded US fellowship

Satnam Singh, assistant entomologist, cotton, at Punjab Agricultural University ( PAU ) , regional station , Faridkot, has been awarded the prestigious Raman Post-Doctoral Fellowship by University Grants Commission, New Delhi.

He will soon be joining Professor Suba Reddy Palli’s Lab in the department of entomology, University of Kentucky in the US, for a period of one year.
“It will be a unique experience to carry research activities in a US university where I hope that I will get a perfect platform to exchange various ideas and concepts,” said Singh.

Gursharan Singh, dean, postgraduate studies, PAU, congratulated Singh and wished him success in his research endeavours at University of Kentucky. “It’s an honour for the PAU that many of its scientists are aiming to work on the cutting-edge technologies in the agricultural research,” he added.
