PAU students win bronze in national youth festival

The students of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) brought laurels to the university by winning the bronze medal in installation event during the 29th All India Inter-University National Youth Festival 2013-14, which was organised by Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi, at Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra (Haryana), from February 18 to 22.


Among all the agricultural universities, PAU is the only university which has qualified for national level youth festival. Baldev Singh Dhillon, vice-chancellor, PAU, congratulated students for bringing laurels to the university.

Ravinder Kaur Dhaliwal, director, Students' Welfare, hailed the achievements of the students and expressed her satisfaction over the dedication shown by them during the festival.

Welfare officer Satvir Singh said a team of four PAU students participated in the youth festival and represented north zone in fine arts events. Total 76 universities (state and central) from across India participated in this festival.

MS Toor, president, University Fine Arts and Photography Club, and contingent in-charge, said congratulate all the winners.
