Ludhiana Mayor Harcharan Singh Gohalwaria was reportedly stopped by security guards from entering Bachat Bhavan hall at mini secretariat where Punjab deputy chief minister Sukhbir Badal was supposed to hold a press conference on Tuesday. Security guards of the deputy chief minister reportedly did not recognise Gohalwaria and stopped him from moving inside.

Many Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders had flocked to the Bachat Bhavan to meet Sukhbir, however, as soon as Gohalwaria entered the door, he was stopped by the special security guard. Even though Gohalwaria introduced himself to the guards, they did not allow him to enter the hall.

It was only the intervention of Ludhiana police commissioner Ishwar Singh that the guard let the mayor enter the hall.

As soon as Sukhbir arrived at mini secretariat, SAD leaders thronged the entrance in a bid to enter the Bachat Bhawan for the press conference. It created chaos at the entrance, in which former cabinet minister Hira Singh Gabriya was trapped and lost his balance. Gabriya was about to fall when security guards hold him.
