Two swindlers, who boarded a bus from Phagwara, drugged an ex-serviceman and robbed his double barrel rifle, 25 cartridges and Rs. 24,000 between Phagwara and Ludhiana in the running bus on Sunday.

Ex-serviceman Bachan Singh (64), a resident of Guru Nanak Pura, has been admitted to the civil hospital and his condition is stated to be stable.

Bachan Singh was returning from Jalandher after visiting his relatives.
