Later, the bank officials received his complaint and assured him that they would pursue the matter with higher authorities.

The dhaba owner said he would a file complaint against the bank officials.

Jaspal Singh, owner of Shekhupuria Dhaba, said he possessed a locker in the bank. Over a year ago, he had kept Rs. 10 lakh in the locker. When he opened the locker on Tuesday he was shocked to see the soiled currency notes, which were being eaten by termites. He immediately complained about the mishandling of lockers to the bank officials.

He further alleged that the bank officials were not ready to listen his complaint. Later, he called his kin there and then the bank officials accepted his complaint.
