Union minister for information and broadcasting Manish Tewari has called for early completion of the railway over-bridge (ROB) at Lakkar Pull that connects old city with the new city area. Tewari also visited the spot to assess the progress on the work on Sunday.

A number of people who met Tewari urged him to take up the matter with the railway ministry since the ROB was lying incomplete for a long time now. He asked the divisional railway manager to submit a status report at the earliest.

The Lakkar Pull railway bridge is an important link connecting the old city with the new city. There is plan to replace foot-bridge with a concrete railway over-bridge to facilitate both pedestrians and vehicular traffic.

Tewari assured that he would ensure that the work on the over-bridge is completed at the earliest and would take up the matter with the railway minister.
