With the onset of summer, the city railway station's shed to save discomfort to passenger's remains incomplete.

Authorities say the shed at platform number six and seven remains incomplete due to the lack of funds.

Though the steel frames had been installed six months ago and the sheds were expected to be laid down by January, but till date nothing has been done at the station.

When station superintendent Ravinder Sharma, was asked, he said, “Lack of funds and insufficient labour is the reason for delay in work. The city is increasingly being referred to an upcoming metropolitan, but conditions at the local railway station are not up to the mark with basic necessities remaining pending.”

Sharma added, “The administration understands the need of proper infrastructure and completion of sheds at the platforms for an easier commute. But railway is going through a tough time and lack of funds to finish the construction.”

A passenger at the railway station, who had to leave for New-Delhi, Harvir Singh, said, "Authorities talk of making Ludhiana a metropolitan ignoring basic needs and amenities at the railway station."

Teachers need to shape students as nation builders, says Kalam

Creativity is the key to success in the future, and primary education is where teachers can bring creativity in children at that level.
