Terming the Amritsar BJP MP Navjot Sidhu's outburst as 'internal matter of BJP', cabinet minister Bikram Singh Majithia on Monday said that SAD would address and clarify on the issues raised by Sidhu, when the need arises.
"I don't read between the lines, as you do. I did not find anything against me in the news report. If somebody (Sidhu) has gone to media and not made any personal charge against any individual, how can I comment on it", Majithia replied, when asked to comment on his 'obvious' reference by Sidhu, alleging that certain forces don't want him to contest from Amritsar.
"Jay main kujh bolya te patake vajjange. Sidhu saab samajhdar bande ne, asi onha de roj darshan karde haan, tusi vee karde ho. (If I will say something, there will be crackers busting in political circle, he is an intelligent person, I see him daily, you also see him daily)", Majithia said. When specifically asked whether he see Sidhu daily on TV, he refused to comment further.
"Sidhu contested parliamentary poll in 2009 and it was due to the hard work put in both SAD-BJP workers, he won, no matter of a very slender margin", Majithia said while replying to the allegations made by Sidhu.
Majithia, who was accompanied by BJP leaders including local bodies' minister Bhagat Chunni Lal, chief parliamentary secretary KD Bhandari and BJP general secretary Rakesh Rathore, referred any further query on Sidhu's issue to BJP leaders.
It is pertinent to mention here that on his arrival in his parliamentary constituency after eight months, Amritsar MP accused the state government for diverting funds from Amritsar Improvement Trust to create hindrance in the development projects initiated by him in the holy city.
When media asked Bhagat Chunni Lal, who is leader of BJP's legislatures party in state assembly to comment on Sidhu's outbursts, Majithia, sensing possible controversy by Bhagat's comments on such a sensitive issue, immediately intervened and said "Tusi Bhagat ji nu kyon pareshan karde ho, Bhagat ji nu, apni Bhagti karan do. (why are you troubling Bhagat ji on this issue?)".
When Bhagat was about to speak, BJP leader KD Bhandari stopped him and referred the query to state general secretary (of the saffron party) Rakesh Rathore, who said "entire issue regarding Sidhu's outburst is already in the knowledge of party high command and very soon it will be sorted out".
Majithia revealed that to avoid harassment of farmers, it has been decided that there would be no need for farmers to enroll entry of their agriculture loans in Tehsildar's office.
Bank, from which farmers would take loan to purchase agriculture equipments, will be responsible to provide information to the concerned office directly within a week, Majithia said adding that issue would be brought before the next cabinet meeting for its consent.
