A 52-year-old resident of Basti Danishmanda alleged that BJP leaders Rajan Angural and his brother Sheetal Angural threw acid on his face on Wednesday.

However, doctors at the trauma ward of the civil hospital have not found any acid injury on Krishan Lal’s face, claiming that his condition was stable.

Lal, who works as a daily wager, alleged that the two brothers along with their supporters entered his house over an old enmity with his son Sunil, who was working as a helper at Rajan’s office a year ago.

He claimed the two brothers put a weapon on his forehead and threatened him with dire consequences and fled after throwing acid on him.

However, Rajan and Sheetal refuted Lal’s allegations, and claimed that his son Sunil was recently booked for molesting a girl.

They also alleged in a recent a theft at their office, CCTV camera had captured Sunil stealing an LED.

Assistant commissioner of police (ACP west) RPS Sandhu said the police were verifying the complainant’s claims and action would be taken accordingly.
