The Focal Point police on Wednesday arrested a man after reportedly recovering 25gm heroin from his possession.
The accused, David Khosla alias Raju, is a resident of Janta Colony. He is a worker at a hosiery factory.
Giving details about the arrest, Kehar Singh, additional deputy commissioner of police (ADCP) City 2, said the Focal Point police set up a check point in Focal Point area and were carrying out checks. Meanwhile, Khosla, who was crossing from the area, tried to flee on spotting the police party.
However, cops nabbed him and on frisking him found 25gm heroin from his possession, he added.
The ADCP claimed that the accused told the police that he used to procure the contraband from a man named Baljit Singh, who the police were trying to trace.
