Man booked for raping 10-yr-old step-daughter

The Moga police on Saturday booked a Sadar Nagar resident for allegedly raping his 10-year-old step-daughter for over three weeks.

The Moga police on Saturday booked a Sadar Nagar resident for allegedly raping his 10-year-old step-daughter for over three weeks.

The accused has been identified as Nar Bahadur, a native of Nepal, who is residing in Sardar Nagar in Moga.

As per information, the victim was living with her step-father since the last one month as her mother was out of country.

Assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Iqbal Singh, who is the investigation officer in the case, said that Nar had been sexually abusing his step-daughter since more than three weeks.

A case under Sections 376 (punishment for rape), 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act has been registered against the accused at Police Station City South Moga.

“The accused is absconding and we are conducting raids at several places to nab him,” the ASI said.
