Man booked for sending indecent text messages
Police booked a 26-year-old man for allegedly sending indecent messages to a 16-year-old girl and forcing her to be in a relation with him. The accused have been booked under a section of Information and Technology Act and several sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC).

The accused has been identified as Ketan Malhotra, a resident of Division Number 3 Chowk.
The victim’s father of Chandigarh Road Sector-32, in his complainant, stated that the accused used to send indecent messages to his daughter and also threaten her. Sub-inspector Paramjit Singh said the earlier the accused was victim’s neighbour, but later her family shifted to Chandigarh Road. The accused has already been facing trial in cases of loot and burglary. The police have launched a manhunt to arrest him.
