Man dies in family clash

A man was killed and three persons were injured in a clash between members of a family over alleged illicit relations at Malluwala village on Friday night.

In his complaint, Malluwala resident Bhinder Singh alleged that his uncle Chhinda Singh, resident of Mamdot Hedar village, had an affair with his mother, despite repeated orders from the panchayat to break off their relationship.

On Saturday night, Chhinda, 45, entered Bhinder's house after scaling the boundary wall and attacked his father Laddha Singh, 65, mother, and brother Chhinder Singh. "He seemed to have consumed drugs as he suddenly fell and died after attacking the three," alleged Bhinder.

Chhinda's uncle Kishan Singh accused Bhinder's family, including brother Kinder, of conspiring against the victim by calling him to their house and later killing him."The three are pretending to be injured to escape punishment for their crime," he alleged.The police have registered a case against Laddha, his wife, Chhinder, Bhinder and Kinder under Sections 148 (rioting) and 302 (murder) of the IPC, said SSP Varinder Singh.
