Man held for raping minor daughter

The Nurmahal police on Sunday arrested a migrant labourer on charges of raping his minor daughter.

SHO Parwinder Singh said the accused is a native of Alwar district of Rajasthan and now lives at Rampur village.

A case has been registered on a complaint of the victim. She told the police that her father took her along to Danduwal village for assisting him in cleansing of village drains and raped her in a rented room daily. She said in her complaint that he tied and raped on Saturday. Then he threatened her and locked inside the room, she alleged. She said she freed herself and told her mother about the incident.

The SHO said a case under sections 376 (rape) 342 (wrongful confinement) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and section 4 of the Protection Of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, has been registered against the accused.
